Standard Application - Required Essay, Timeline, and Full Camp/Wait List Process
Both camps are open to high school students (including Spring/Summer 2020 graduates) 15-18 years of age as of first day of assigned session and currently residing in the US. Applications (including the essay described below) must be submitted electronically via our online system available via the Camp Cardiac and Camp Neuro websites, or by clicking here.
Personal Statement Essay
In 300 words or less, please state why you are interested in attending. What do you expect to learn/receive from this experience? What do you find appealing about the field of healthcare?
Timeline
Once completed, standard applications are reviewed on an ongoing, rolling basis, and the applicant will be notified of their application status within 21 days. If the student's standard application is accepted for enrollment, tuition payment details will be provided at that time.
Full Camp/Wait List Process
Please note that acceptance into this program does not guarantee you a spot, as spots are limited and filled on a first come, first serve basis. If there are not currently any open spots at your preferred location when you attempt to enroll, you may still be able to secure a spot by adding yourself to the wait list.
For a variety of reasons, our wait list does not utilize a ranking system whereas those joining the list earlier receive priority. Instead and if/when a spot opens up, a notification email will immediately be sent to everyone on the wait list (the notification is sent to the primary email address associated with the account), and the first individual(s) to provide tuition payment and complete enrollment would receive the open spot(s).
